Can you believe I actually joined the Navy when I was 21. I was chosen for the position of journalist when I got out of boot camp. I loved working as a journalist, but found the Navy too restrictive. After nearly 3 years I got out due to a pregnancy clause that they no longer have in affect.

My life has not been easy. While I was in high school my mother was very ill, mentally. I think she was bipolar depressive. Whatever it took my toll on me and I was very unhappy in school and out. I think I also was bipolar and there was no one at the time to diagnosis it.

After school I went to work at the Department of Corrections as a Dictaphone operator. I joined the Navy at 21 and in 1970 married a sailor who became a cryptographer. He was very good at his job and set precedents that are in effect today. We had three beautiful girls and spent our time being shipped from here to there.

After he retired we moved to Louisiana where he worked for a communications company installing and repairing computers off shore.

It wasn't until after his death I was diagnosed as bipolar and learned how to handle the the terrible depression and mood swings. So now here I am at 67 trying to figure out how to blog. I am a huge believer in the love and power of Jesus Christ and am a lot different than the Linda Kohler you may remember.

God bless each of you and I hope you all found a happy path in life.

How is it possible it's been 50 years. Daryle and I have been married 31 years and have 4 grown children we share and 6 grandbabies that have been the loves of our lives. So looking forward to our reunion and feeling very blessed that I am able to attend. Life since graduation has had it's challenges but all in all I have been very blessed!

Rick and I recently celebrated our 47th anniversary. We have lived in Golden Valley most of our married life. We have three wonderful children, two lovely daughters-in-law, and four precious grandchildren, ages 7 to 17 (and 5 granddogs). All live nearby, so we can enjoy being with them often.

I have had an interesting mix of jobs over the years including medical technologist at a hospital lab, environmentalist, horticulture technician, and technician at a large local food producer.

Rick and I are now retired and are enjoying our leisure time, filling our days with family and friends, travel, gardening, reading, and a new interest - water aerobics.

Thanks to the 50th reunion committee for their excellent work on the reunion!

Our 2017 class reunion is fast approaching so I logged on to review pictures and messages from fellow class mates. It was great to read so many positive reports but I feel the pain of those who reported some suffering. Many classmates are deceased and I’m grateful for being alive and relatively healthy. Some served in military service and are alive today but many died at a very young age. Some that died were close friends. I feel fortunate to carry with me good memories of so many wonderful people!

The picture is of my wife (Nancy) and me taken at George H. Crosby Manitou State Park. We still love outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and biking. Since I recently retired from full time work we will have more freedom to engage in these activities as we travel to other parts of the country. We still reside in Robbinsdale but will winter in the Tucson area as volunteers at the SIL Center (Wycliffe Bible Translators) which supports written language development and translation work in Mexico.

My career was in manufacturing having worked 42 years with one company. I also did contract manufacturing on the side. My focus now is on business finance which I will do part time where ever we find ourselves. I’m also helping to develop a business that provides disaster preparation education along with related products and services.

I have fond memories of my school years from my first day in kindergarten all the way through high school graduation. My experiences with fellow class mates are what made those years so special. You all have been a blessing to me in one way or another. Thank you!

Hello fellow Robins -
It's been a long time! I moved to Calif. in Nov. 1969 and began employment in aerospace at Hughes Aircraft and just recently retired from 20th Century Fox Studio where i worked in legal for 36 years. I was married for 8 years then divorced, and then remarried again for 28 years to Deano (Dean O'Hare), a stockbroker and the love of my life, who sadly passed away August 2007. He had four grown children from a previous marriage so i have wonderful step kids.

Hello to all my friends and classmates at RHS! I thank Steve Alm, who used to lived in Palm Bay, Florida, for letting me know about this web site. Steve has died now and I miss him. I remember Steve having a couple of great parties at his home in Golden Valley at 3300 Kyle Avenue, back in the day. I have great memories about my school days in Robbinsdale but I didn't have my senior year there because my family moved to Oklahoma City where my dad was asked to start the Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Oklahoma. I attended a high school in OKC for the first half of my senior year and then Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan for the second half of my senior year. Since I did not have enough time at either of these schools to graduate from them, the credits from both were added to my Robbinsdale transcript and I was given a diploma from Robbinsdale Highschool in 1967.
I lived in Oklahoma and played in a band there with my two brothers for sixteen years. What a long and wonderful trip that was! Gary Lopac, RHS Class of '69, joined us there for two of the eras. In 1981 the band tried for our second million dollars in Los Angeles (we gave up on that first million it was too hard). Lots of great music was made and lots of fun and great experiences were had (like playing with and meeting the Beach Boys twice and the Jefferson Airplane twice) but didn't make the second million either.
I stayed in Los Angeles and married a woman from Iran. I became a real estate appraiser and we had two daughters. Monica graduated from UC Berkeley, worked at Google and is now in Stanford Law School. Julia graduated from UC Berkeley where she wrote a musical.
My French horn is still gathering dust over in the corner here but I still play a little piano and guitar and am now learning old country songs like Wild Side of Life.
I'm glad I grew up in Minnesota. Living in other places (Oklahoma, Louisiana, and California) has been a great experience and it has also enabled me to see what an enlightened and progressive state Minnesota is. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the 45th reunion coming up!

Life since high school has been very satisfying. It seems each decade has been better than the one before and yet I wouldn't want to do any one of them again. I love the current age and stage! I have enjoyed my work as a school psychologist and am in my 35th year. Our sons married wonderful women and did not return home after college (how rare is that?). Matt is a lawyer at Best Buy and Chris is a financial analyst at United Health. We have one grandson and a second grandchild on the way. We count our blessings!

Married to Bob; 2 kids, one grandchild.

I do crafts that can be sold, and work on knitting sweaters for kids and others worn all over the world. I like playing cribbage and 500 there, and casino. This is what keeps me busy, which you need to do.

Update for 45-year Reunion: Still living at St. Therese Apartments. Have had cancer for 5 years, now am cancer free and feel very good. Doing a lot of volunteer work at St. Therese.

50 years! It's really hard to believe. So much done, so much yet to be done! Have lived in CA for last 30 years, between San Francisco and San Jose - don't miss MN winters one bit! Since RHS: 2 universities (BA & MA), married 45 years (3 wives), 4 kids, 5 grandchildren, lived in 5 different cities, owned 6 houses (5 sold), 7 employers (now happily retired!), 50+ countries visited (that I can remember) and trips to all 50 states for work and/or fun. Still, lots of numbers to go. Happy 50th to all RHS67 classmates -- STAY WELL!

It's hard to believe it's been 40 years. I don't feel any older, but history says I am. I've been married to Larry for 39+ years and we were blessed with 10 children, 4 of whom (including our twins) are in Heaven already. Our 5 sons live here in the Minneapolis area and our daughter and her family live in the Breezy Pointe area. We have two grandsons and are expecting two more grandchildren this coming year. I majored in elementary education and minored in music at the U of M, did a lot of substitute teaching, worked in the Title One program while the children were growing up, worked as a Technical Chiropractic Assistant for 8 years and have now started my own business. I teach people how to develop extra income streams using life-style marketing. I take what people like to do and teach them how to develop residual income from it.

Life has been great and we've enjoyed living in the Minneapolis area until 1980, then Colorado and Wyoming in the 80s and central Minnesota (Crosby to be exact) from 1990 to May of 2005. We have 4 married children and 2 still at home. One is studying opera at Bethel University in St. Paul and the youngest is adding to his AS Degree in television production from Brown College by taking media graphics at ITT Tech.

I travel a lot and enjoy living life to the fullest and I especially enjoy my volunteer work at our church. One of my joys has been to see my dad retire as the minister and step down into the associate position and my younger brother step up to become the senior pastor. The circle of life goes on.

Sorry I wasn't able to attend the reunion. Larry is recovering from 3 major accidents last year and we are getting ready to move, so I just wasn't able to coordinate everything. I'm enjoy reading all of the postings on our class web page. Many thanks to each of you who have replied.
