Jeff wanted those he cared about to share a celebration of his life. We will gather to remember him at The Victoria House, 1715 Steiger Lake Lane, Victoria, MN, on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, between 5 and 9 p.m. Jeff also wanted to share these words of philosopher Epictetus: "Remember that you ought to behave in life as you would at a banquet. As something is being passed around it comes to you, stretch out your hand, take a portion of it politely. It passes on, do not detain it." Jeff wanted us to enjoy our everyday life. As memorials, Jeff preferred donations to Common Hope or to animal rescue.

I have been living in Iowa for some forty-five years. I am married (2nd time around) and have five grown children/step children, ten beautiful grandchildren (nine girls, one boy) We feel blessed to have four of our five kids living in Iowa (a couple of them just down the block!) One son, Ben, lives in South Dakota. We still have ties to Minneapolis and Balsam Lake, Wisconsin but don't go north as much as we used to. We have a condo in Clear Lake, Iowa and spend time there - both winter and summer. Since my last post both my husband and I are retired and enjoying it. I've enjoyed making contact with old classmates through Facebook.

Loved those Friday night sock hops after the game. Loved Mr. T and being in the band. High school was the best!
Graduated from St. Cloud State (did not enjoy college at all) and was a teacher. Married for 35 years to Glenn (Wayzata High grad '66 and U of M grad). We met on a blind date. We laugh a lot together. Three (a son and two daughters) wonderful children; one is married; no grandchildren yet. Stayed home fulltime for 15 years when our children were young and loved it! Work fulltime at a leasing company now and Glenn is in computer work. Glenn and I live in Chanhassen and all our children live in the Twin Cities area.
God bless everyone from the class of 67.
As of January 2009 we now have a grandchild. Precious Ava brings so much joy and it is so heartwarming to see our daughter and her husband be such terrific parents.
Also I was laid off from my job which gives me plenty of time to see our granddaughter.

Married to Glenn, 3 children

LINDA BARBEAU
We lost my bride, our sister, our aunt and our dear friend. Linda Barbeau died Friday, April 13 at home in Crystal, MN from an abdominal aneurysm at the young age of 68. Linda was born November 21, 1949 to Robert and Gail (Bintner) Barbeau in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from Robbinsdale High School and attended the University of Minnesota and North Hennepin. She had long careers with U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo Bank. She married Galen Blomster on July 26, 1991. She is survived by her husband, Galen, stepsons Bob (Julie), Mark (Adriana) and David Blomster, brothers Bob Barbeau (Anne Lee) and Jim Barbeau, sister Cindy (Bob) Massey, sisters-in-law Pat Barbeau and Sharolyn Peterson and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Tom Barbeau and sister Mary Barbeau. Linda loved golf, bowling, sports, her furry friends Sam, Duke and Jake, and Christmas. After her mother died much too young, she hosted Christmas for her family for 37 years. Snow villages, Radko ornaments and other decorations were always a tradition at the holidays, as was a standing rib roast for all to enjoy. Linda got an early start as a manager at her first job with a large crew and no experience, but quickly developed a feisty, "get-it-done-right" approach. She learned to hire people with more education than her. Linda was a very good and generous person who sincerely cared about people and always wanted to help if she could. May her memory be a blessing and a beacon. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 4 from 6:00-9:00pm at the Brookview Community Center, 316 Brookview Parkway S., Golden Valley, MN 55426. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor's choice.

I have enjoyed working with the reunion committee and making new connections 40 years later! So many stories I have to tell about those 40 years, but I'll save those reminiscences for when I am old. Today I enjoyed my day as a middle school English teacher, at Field School, 14 blocks from my south Minneapolis home. At home, I look forward to be greeted by my son Max's dog Tony, a visit from my grandson, 4 year old Evan, and cooking a meal for any of my drop in family and friends. I am tired from my weekend at the Renaissance Festival, at my booth, M'Lord & Tailor. I have one weekend left and only 2 dresses left to sell! I like my neighborhood, my job, and enjoy my art. I look forward to meeting classmates again and seeing where these 40 years have taken you!

I'm loving retirement, which enables me to visit family and friends whenever I feel like it. It's also enabled me to do LOTS of motorcycling with my sweetie, Dan. I will always miss Tim something terrible, but life is still good. Very different than it was while Tim was still alive, but still very good.
Daughter Sarah and her husband and The Two Adorables live in Madison, Wisconsin; son Jesse is in Portland, Oregon.
It's been great to reconnect with so many of you, even if only through email. I'm looking forward to our 45th Reunion - hope to see lots of you there.
Just checked this profile, and I need to update only two things: Insert "or tooling around with the top down on my Miata" before "motorcycling," and change "45th Reunion" to "50th Reunion." Life goes on; life is good. Hope you all can say the same.

After working on the committee for a second time , I thought it would be much easier , but I find that there are still many challenges. People change , their thoughts change and in general ,it is like starting over.We have had our high and low spots ,but all-in-all I think we have put together a B-party as good or better then the reunion. You all should come, because we are not getting any younger. As for me , I seem to be getting younger , so I will be working for at least another 20 to 30 years. My two children [Lee and Miki ]have moved out and I thought that would be good, but I find myself traveling around to see their shows. Lee is back in local theater and Miki is a dancer/actress everywhere. FUN. See you all at the Birthday Party.

Retired, doing some traveling, enjoying long summers "at the lake", proudly grand-mothering our grandsons, Jamie and Lucas, and Dan's granddaughter, Winrey, and staying involved in planning our reunions as they roll around.

I have two beautiful daughters, a great son-in-law and daughter-in-law and two unbelievable grandsons, happily remarried to dear friend and classmate, Dan Gustafson, January 2011, who added granddaughter Winrey to the mix..

John and I are having a great life! We've raised two wonderful daughters and have the fortune to have two great sons-by-choice, and five of the most loving granddaughters. We had successful careers and have happy families. We've shared the usual amount of joys and challenges and are now joining the leisure life of retired baby-boomers with lots of time and just enough money.
This reunion has certainly been a learning experience~~we have seen that we are all so different (old?) and still the same (old.) It's been great to see old friendships get new life, and to remember how good some of the old days were. Being involved with the reunion and seeing so many classmates has confirmed my belief that "some people, no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty; they merely move it from their faces to their hearts."

For Kris and I, the adventure continues. Recently, we sold our home in Maple Grove, and officially moved up north to our cabin on Lake Mary in Emily MN. We have two married daughters and 5 granddaughters (aka The Princesses) who all enjoy spending time "at the lake" with Grandma and Grandpa. My time is now spent fishing, water skiing, snowmobiling, ATVing, motorcycling and doing things my wife wants (Kris made me add this last one!).
This was all made possible because I retired in May 2007. After working for 23 years at Control Data Corporation in a number of engineering, program management, and executive management positions, and for the last 13 years at Datacard Corporation, where I managed their global hardware and software engineering teams, I decided it was time to enjoy life!

Forty years have found me amazed at the experiences life has offered. RHS, the U of M, and Minneapolis gave me a home base before I moved to New York 25 years ago. I've had the good fortune to work for talented jewelry designers, and now I manage a fine art gallery. The city offers a constant stream of challenges, and European vacations have continued my education and passion for beauty. Good wishes to all!

My husband and I have spent our lives teaching (mine in elementary, Mike's in flight instruction.) We moved to Texas in 1986. I taught at Bradford while Mike flew for U.S. Customs. Our two boys grew up and graduated from San Angelo. Matt graduated from San Angelo State University and Kersten graduated from Brown. We all missed the fall colors and snow. The boys moved back to Minnesota before we did. After 25 years of government service, Mike retired and we moved back to Finlayson. We built a home. I substitute and Mike flight instructs in the Hinckley area.
