After graduating from the University of Minnesota, I left Minneapolis in 1974, spent a year in New York as a VISTA volunteer, four years working in Seattle, and finally to Anchorage in 1979. I retired from the University of Alaska in 2016. I love being retired, it's almost like every day is Saturday!

All of my close family members live in Alaska and now that we've retired, we have no plans to move anywhere else, it is the most beautiful place to live.
