I finally retired in 2012 after 40 years of teaching 1st graders. I really miss the kids but I am still active with our youth program at church, and I volunteer at my grandchildren's school every week- so still get to interact with kids. I am blessed with 2 beautiful grandchildren.They are such a joy to be with. I spend as much free time as I can with them. They are growing up way too fast.
