Jeffrey S. "Jeff" Adams
Obituary
Adams, Jeffrey S. "Jeff" Born June 14, 1949, died too soon on June 13, 2013. Predeceased by his father, Gordon C. Adams, Jeff is survived by his best friend and love of his life Verna Corgan; loving and beloved son Peter G. Hames, Jr. (Lori and Tyler Green); mother Elizabeth (Marti) Adams; brothers Steve (Susie) and John (Cassandra) Adams; sister Janet Johnson; brother- and sister- in-law and in his heart, Ronald and Virginia Rengel; mother-in-law Verna I. Corgan; brother-in-law Cori (Judee) Corgan; sister-in-law Tiffany (Norman) King; nephews Seth and Eliot Adams, David Rengel, David and Theodore Corgan; nieces Courtney and Natalia Adams, Jessica and Danielle Johnson, and Jillian Corgan; many wonderful friends, neighbors, and relatives; and his work family at Sign-Zone, Inc., where the leadership and good fellowship of colleagues made his work experience there the best he ever had. Jeff's remains will be interred at Fort Snelling following a bequest to the University of Minnesota Medical School; an interment announcement will follow in 12 to 18 months. Jeff wanted those he cared about to share a celebration of his life. We will gather to remember him at The Victoria House, 1715 Steiger Lake Lane, Victoria, MN, on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, between 5 and 9 p.m. Jeff also wanted to share these words of philosopher Epictetus: "Remember that you ought to behave in life as you would at a banquet. As something is being passed around it comes to you, stretch out your hand, take a portion of it politely. It passes on, do not detain it." Jeff wanted us to enjoy our everyday life. As memorials, Jeff preferred donations to Common Hope or to animal rescue.
